states that refused to expand medicaid under ACA, nonetheless, face an increase in those on medicaid rolls

Published in the New York Times this weekend is an interesting look at South Carolina, whose Governor has made a point of refusing to expand Medicaid coverage as envisioned by the ACA or operate a state Health Insurance Marketplace.  Nonetheless, officials expect a significant number of applications for coverage in the Marketplace and a large number of people getting Medicaid coverage, even though eligible now, due to the Marketplace eligibility determinations.  Read the full article here.
